Terms of Service
Effective October 2, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Old Dominion Operations, LLC, a Virginia limited liability company ("Old Dominion Operations," "we," "us," or "our"), which operates Gun Binder at gunbinder.com and related apps and services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. Who can use Gun Binder
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement. You may not use the Service if you are prohibited by law from possessing firearms or ammunition. You’re responsible for keeping your login, password, two-step codes, and backup methods secure, and for everything that happens under your account.
2. What Gun Binder is, and isn’t
Gun Binder is a private record-keeping tool for your own firearms, suppressors, accessories, photos, and paperwork. It is not:
- a government registry, and it is not affiliated with the ATF or any government agency;
- a federal firearms licensee (FFL), dealer, broker, or marketplace. We don’t buy, sell, or transfer firearms or facilitate transfers between users;
- a source of legal advice. Nothing in the Service, including NFA tracking, wait times, or reminders, is legal advice. Laws vary by location and change; you’re responsible for knowing and following them;
- an official record. Keep your original approved NFA forms and other documents as required by law. A copy in Gun Binder doesn’t replace them.
3. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You won’t: use it to plan, promote, or carry out any illegal activity; store content you don’t have the right to store; upload malware or try to break, overload, or get around the Service’s security or plan limits; access other people’s accounts or data; resell the Service; or use automated tools to scrape it. We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
4. Your content
You own the information, photos, and documents you put into Gun Binder ("Your Content"). You give us permission to store, process, encrypt, back up, and display Your Content only as needed to run the Service for you, including features you choose to use, like exports and share links. We don’t claim ownership of Your Content and don’t sell it. You’re responsible for the accuracy of Your Content and for making sure you have the right to upload it.
5. Plans, billing, and cancellation
- Free plan. The Free plan is offered at no charge and may have limits, such as the number of items.
- Paid subscriptions. Plus and Pro are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through our payment processor, Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price until you cancel. You can cancel anytime in Account → Manage billing; your plan stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
- Lifetime. Lifetime is a one-time payment for unlimited access to the features included in Lifetime for as long as we operate the Service. It isn’t a lifetime warranty of any particular feature, and it isn’t transferable.
- Refunds. Payments are non-refundable except where required by law or where we choose, at our discretion, to issue a refund.
- Price changes. We may change prices with advance notice. Changes take effect at your next renewal.
- Downgrades. If you move to a plan with lower limits, nothing is deleted, but items over the limit become read-only until you upgrade or remove items.
- Codes and gifts. Promotional codes and gifted plans have the terms stated when offered, have no cash value, and may expire. Gifted time ends automatically and your account returns to its regular plan.
- Taxes. Prices may not include applicable taxes, which may be added at checkout.
6. AI value estimates
Pro and Lifetime include AI-generated value estimates based on public listings and sales. Estimates are approximate, may be wrong, and are not appraisals. Don’t rely on them for insurance, legal, tax, or sale decisions without independent verification. Estimates are subject to fair-use limits.
7. Share links and exports
Exports and share links contain the information you choose to include. Anyone with a share link (and its passcode, if you set one) can view it until it expires or you turn it off. You’re responsible for who you share with and for keeping exported files secure, especially files containing serial numbers.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available and secure, but we don’t guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, add, or remove features. If we ever shut down the Service, we’ll give you reasonable notice and a way to export your data.
9. Suspension and termination
You can delete your account anytime in Account → Your data. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as ownership, disclaimers, limits of liability, and governing law) will survive.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DON’T WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE OR ANY ESTIMATE, REMINDER, OR CALCULATION IS ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, OLD DOMINION OPERATIONS AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WON’T BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR $50.
12. Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify Old Dominion Operations against claims, damages, and costs (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, Your Content, or your violation of these Terms or the law.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Virginia, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at [email protected] and try to resolve it informally for at least 30 days.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If changes are material, we’ll notify you by email or in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.
